Improved Umbilicopalsty at Abdominoplasty: Throughtout Suture and Anchoring Suture

Abstract

|
Umbilical restoring should always be aimed at creating an umbilicus of sufficient depth and good morphology(circular and cylinder shape) with less scarring. The variable techniques have been described to reconstruct umbilicus; nevertheless, a perfect result is difficult to obtain. I provide improved method to restore the umbilicus using throughout and anchoring suture of umbilical neck. The important steps are the following; the first step is the anchoring fixation between the neck of umbilicus to the fascia wall. The second step is throughout suture to make the depression of surrounding of umbilicus and the circular cylinder shape umbilicus. The Author’s method is a simple, easy and useful technique. So, I reported that case and discussed the literatures.
